You can backup your profile settings including your mail simply by copying the necessary directories to a safe place. If you do not have a backup utility don't worry. The same procedure can be used other versions of Windows by changing the Mozilla profile path.Make A Safe BackupThe first step is to backup your current profile. This guide uses Windows XP as the working example. This can be done by changing the View settings in Tools, Folder Options, and finally the View tab. Also note on Windows 2000 and Windows XP, the "Document and Settings" directories are hidden twice to have access to these directories, you may need to set Windows Explorer to show System and Hidden directories and files.
